It's been awhile.....

I haven't posted in forever, I'm not really sure why.  Not much going on in paradise I suppose.  The kids have finished half of the school year and they are both doing well.  Goose has come so far and is loving third grade.  She especially loves her teacher.  She is active in her brownie troop and is starting swim lessons again to get ready for swim team this summer.  She loves the store Justice and continues to amaze us with her great fashion sense.

She loves our dogs, she told me today the kids at school say she is dog obsessed but she's okay with that.

This year Halloween was a lot of fun.  She dressed up as her favorite Monster High character, Laguna Blue.  Some people thought she was Nicki Minaj.

We went away for New Year's again and she had a blast at the party held down by the water park.  She won a freeze dance contest.

She is quite the little diva.  Tomorrow she turns 9 and I just can't believe how the time has flown.  We just love this little girl so much.

Then there is Bubba..... I can't believe he is half way done with first grade.  He is doing awesome in school.  He is reading, doing math, and just learning so much all the time. He is still very into Wii and would play it all day everyday if I let him.  He started karate classes this winter and seems to be enjoying it.  He too has started swim lessons and is gaining new skills which will come in handy at the pool this summer.  He is a great kid that makes us smile all the time.  We just celebrated his 6th adoption day on the 24th.  We celebrated by going to his favorite restaurant, Benihanna's.

Summer is halfway over!

Can't believe the back to school stuff is already out at the stores.  Where has the time gone.  We have been pretty busy, trying to beat the heat.  Goose finished up her swim season swimming in the "B" conference meet.  She did such a great job this season and we are so proud of her.

I feel like this summer has been way to short.  I am really glad that we have gotten in a lot of fun activities though.  Not featured here in pictures are a trip to Brookfield Zoo, Six Flags Great America, and the Indiana Dunes. School will be starting in just under 2 weeks.
