Bubba got a haircut!

When I last visited in October Robert's foster mom asked if she could cut his hair. I said sure thinking she was just going to take a little off the sides. Well, she took off more then a little. Check out his buzz. We love it of course and think he looks very handsome. We can't wait to see him again on the December 18th and are even more anxious to bring him home for good. I'm attaching some recent pics. sporting the new dew.

Robert's 4 month Dr. Visit

Robert saw the Dr. this month on October 30th and is still doing great. He is beginning to reach for things and continues to put everything in his mouth. His head control is improving and he is getting stronger and stronger. He takes 6 ounces. of formula every 3 hours and it appears that he doesn't miss a meal. He now weighs 14 pounds 4 ounces. We really just can't wait to bring our son home.

Robert's Case got a KO!!!

We found out on November 7th that Robert's case received a small previo from PGN. That means that the reviewer found a problem with one of hundreds of documents that are needed to finalize the adoption. In this case out of 175 documents that Robert's birthmother's name appears there was a misspelling once. So....it was an easy fix that was corrected that day and his case went back into PGN on November 8th. The bad news is that we go to the end of the line so we start our 6-7 week wait all over again. At least we were only in for 2 weeks and 2 days and not 7 weeks when we found this out. We are praying so hard that his case goes through smoothly now and we exit PGN sometime in December. After his case exits PGN he is legally our son but we must wait another 3-4 weeks to go get him. This is because a new birth certificate must be obtained from where he was born (Mazatenaengo), and then he must get a Guatemalan Passport issued. Next, he must go see a Dr. at the US Embassy and finally a "Pink" slip is issued by the US Embassy which means that they approve of everything. Finally, we must receive an appointment at the Embassy to get all of these documents then we can come home. We are in the final stretch and ask that you continue to pray for speed so that Robert can come home to us very soon.
