Summer is halfway over!

Can't believe the back to school stuff is already out at the stores.  Where has the time gone.  We have been pretty busy, trying to beat the heat.  Goose finished up her swim season swimming in the "B" conference meet.  She did such a great job this season and we are so proud of her.

Trophy!

Bubba finished up his t-ball season.  He LOVED playing and can't wait to play again next season.

We have been getting a lost of use out of our pop-up camper.

Worms were the best part of fishing

Riding in dad's pick up truck was the highlight of the trip.

Bubba did a White Sox training camp.  He got to go to U.S. cellular field with his dad.

I feel like this summer has been way to short.  I am really glad that we have gotten in a lot of fun activities though.  Not featured here in pictures are a trip to Brookfield Zoo, Six Flags Great America, and the Indiana Dunes. School will be starting in just under 2 weeks.

Summer is here....

We are in our third week of summer vacation and things are going pretty well.  We have been really busy. Some of the highlights of the first two weeks included going to Six Flags Great America, seeing The Avengers and Madagascar 3, Bubba's 6th birthday party at the Oak Brook Aquatic Center, Gooses first swim meet as a Wave, and a camping trip.  Pretty good for just over two weeks.  I'm making the kids do school work everyday as well and they have been pretty agreeable.  I'm using the Summer Bridges workbooks and I really like them.  We are reading several books as a family as well including, Harry Potter and The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

The dogs are keeping us busy as well. Our little Leah is up to 24 pounds and will be getting her rabies shot soon so we will be able to take her to the dog park with Bear.  The heat has been intense so going to the pool is a must.  Overall, we are enjoying each day!
