The day after Christmas

Robert having some trouble sharing his new Starwars spaceship with daddy. I'm not sure who likes it more.

Robert and daddy playing with the Starwars toys. I guess Robert decided to let daddy play.

All I can say is wow!

Evi's new baby care center. Thanks grandma and papi.

Daddy and Stephen taking a break from playing.

They did it!

Robert loves his new Toy Story RC car. It's the same one that's in the movie.

Robert playing with the Geotrack Train. Santa brought this for Stephen but Robert wanted it too so I told them they can share it. It turns out they don't share very well.

Robert and Stephen playing with the new Smartcycle from grandma and papi. One should always wear a helmet when riding a stationary bike just in case.

Christmas Morning!

This year the kids woke up at 7:30 a.m. I was so impressed that they had all slept through the night. As each child emerged from their slumber we discovered grandma Judy in the wrong bed. Uh oh, what went on last night. Well it turns out that right after the adults went up to bed Evi and Robert went into grandma and papi's room because Robert had a bloody nose. After getting it all cleaned up the the kids wanted grandma to sleep with them, so grandma and Evi shared the bottom bunk in Robert's room. Grandma must have fallen asleep so the kids decided to go down stairs and get a "drink" (even though there is a bathroom right outside their room with cups in it.) As they came down the stairs they discovered that Santa had come. They peeked in their stockings only to have one fall to the ground with a crash breaking the holder. Of course they needed to report this to an adult so they went to Uncle Joe's room to tell him about the broken stocking holder. Uncle Joe quickly told them they better get back to bed or Santa wouldn't come. Evi told him "don't worry Uncle Joe, Santa already came." While this was going on Jeremy and I were sleeping soundly in our bed. I can't believe that they didn't open anything but was very glad they didn't.

Opening presents.

Robert with all his gifts.

After all the toys they got of course they wanted to play with a box instead.

Christmas Eve with grandma and papi.

This was the third year that my mom and dad came for Christmas Eve dinner and then spent the night to see the kids open their presents in the morning. Jeremy cooked yet another fabulous dinner that everyone enjoyed. The nights festivities included dinner, feeding Santa's reindeer, opening a few gifts, and leaving Cookies for Santa. After the kids were in bed we went to our 11:00 p.m. church service and then came home and watched Tommy Boy (which my family had not seen.) It was a great night!
