1st Day of Kindergarten

So it's finally here...the much anticipated first day of school. I must admit that I didn't think I would cry, but as the kindergarten line followed the teacher into school my eyes did well up with tears. Evi of course shed no tears. Although she did show some sign of nerves last night at bed time, so I know even she was feeling the anticipation. The original outfit we picked out had to be changed due to rain but Evi didn't seem to mind. We arrived at school almost 20 min. early so I could get a good parking spot. Of course they didn't let the parents go inside, so we had to say our good byes outside in front of the school. I'm not sure yet how many kids are in her class (maybe 26 or so) but I only counted 6 girls. Woo Boy!! This will be good for Evi since she gets along with boys just fine. I can't wait until she gets home and I can ask her all about her first day. Hopefully she will have something more to say then "it was fine."
