Peanut returns

Our two year old foster placement returned today from an extended visit with her grandparents.  She was there for two weeks and the hope is that she will get to live with them permanently while her parents work their plan.  Because her grandparents are out of state it has been taking much longer to get the approval for them to "foster" her.  We had her for two months before she went.  I know that they were so happy to have her and our case worker said it went really well.  Now we are being told that it is going to take until September 15 to process all the paperwork and get her moved.  Until then she will be with us part of the time and be with her grandparents part of the time.  My heart goes out to this poor little child who has no idea why she is being shuffled around from place to place.  It is in her best interest to move to her grandparents as soon as possible yet it isn't happening because of paperwork.  It just doesn't make sense to me.  While she was gone obviously it was much easier with only three kids.  Our foster daughter is very clingy with me and doesn't seem to like the other kids.  This of course makes it a lot harder.  Plus she is severely speech delayed so she whines to get her needs met.  She is a beautiful little girl and is really sweet.  She deserves to have the system working overtime to do what is in her best interest.  This next week is going to be really stressful having four kids and Jeremy going back to work.  I hope that I can do my best to meet all the kids needs while remaining calm.  This whole experience has taught me that we are just not ready for four kids this young.
